Hans Bevers/Michiel Verstrepen
Hans Bevers holds a Master in Economics from the University of Antwerp, specialization Statistics.
Hans has worked since 2011 at Petercam (now Bank Degroof Petercam), where he was primarily responsible for the economic analysis of the emerging markets. He participated in the drafting of the macroeconomic scenario and the study of economic issues. Previously, he worked as an economist at the Flemish Economic Association and KBC. His expertise entails mainly the emerging markets, the Belgian and European economy and currency markets.
Since January 2016 he is chief economist at Bank Degroof Petercam. In this role, he is responsible for the elaboration of the general macroeconomic scenario as well as the analysis of economic issues.
Michiel Verstrepen holds a M.Sc in Economics (specializing in financial economics), a M.Sc in Economic Policy (quantitative route) and a M.Sc in Comparative and International Politics (specializing in European politics), all obtained at KU Leuven. He is also a candidate in the CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) program.
Michiel has worked since 2014 at Petercam. Since 2016, he has been an economist at Bank Degroof Petercam. In his role, he is mainly responsible for the macroeconomic analysis of emerging economies and foreign-exchange markets. He is also a member of the Fixed Income Sustainable Advisory Board of Degroof Petercam Asset Management.
